Impugned in this petition is Detention Order No. DIVCOM- “K”1/308/2022 dated 25.11.2022, passed by Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, whereby the detenu has been detained under prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1988. 2. It is submitted by learned counsel appearing for respondent that the maximum period of detention under which detenu has been detained is one year, which period has already expired, therefore, impugned order has outlived its life. 3. In view of submission made by learned counsel for petitioner, this petition by afflux of time is rendered infructuous and, is accordingly, disposed of.
