122 IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH CR-3402-2025(O&M) Date of decision:08.07.2025 Judgebir Singh alias Jujbir Singh ..Petitioner Versus Gram Panchayat Village Chela and others ..Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ANIL KSHETARPAL Present: Mr. Vikas Gupta, Advocate for the petitioner ANIL KSHETARPAL, J. (Oral) The Gram Panchayat of Village Chela is defendant in the pending suit which is a body corporate. It’s office bearers are elected after every 5 years. The new Sarpanch filed an application for impleadment in the suit as he is now managing the affairs of the Gram Panchayat which was allowed by the trial court. The correctness of the aforesaid order is challenged before this Court. In fact, filing of the application is not necessary because Gram Panchayat was already a party to the suit. Be that as it may be. Only the current Sarpanch has been impleaded as a party. Hence, no ground to interfere is made out. Dismissed. All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, are also disposed of.
