Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents. 2. By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs:- "1. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the concerned respondent to protect the land of the petitioner from the respondent Nos. 9 to 11. 2. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the concerned respondent to give protection for construction of concrete boundary wall as according to the demarcation report dated 23.01.2025 and proceed against the respondent No. 9 to 12 as according to the law and punish them for illegal act." 3. The reliefs sought by the petitioner essentially pertain to a private dispute between the petitioner and respondent Nos. 9 to 11, who are private individuals. If the said respondents are interfering with the possession of the petitioner, the appropriate remedy lies under the civil law. This Court, in exercise of its writ jurisdiction, cannot issue a writ of mandamus against private respondents. 4.
