1.GP FOR SERVICES I The Court made the following ORDER: Heard Sri D.Kishore Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri S.Raju, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services-I for the respondents 1 to 4.
The petitioner, Junior Assistant in District Registrar’s Office, Registration & Stamps Department, Chittoor, filed the above writ petition to declare the action of the respondents in not considering his candidature for promotion to the post of Senior Assistant despite dropping charges vide proceedings No.E/157/2016-9, dated 31.10.2022 (Ex.P.1) and G.O.Rt.No.666
2. 2 Revenue (Vig.ll) Department, dated 23.09.2024 (Ex.P.2) as illegal and arbitrary. The petitioner joined in service on 19.06.2013 as a Junior Assistant at the District Registrar’s Office, Chittoor. Thereafter, she transferred to the sub registrar’s office, Chittoor Rural and further transferred to the District Registrar’s office, Chittoor on 27.09.2024. A surprise check was conducted 22.09.2016, by the Anti Corruption Bureau of Tirupati Range at the District Registrar’s office (OB), Chittoor. Based upon the surprise check, a charge was issued to the petitioner framing three charges. After inquiry, the charges were dropped by proceedings dated 31.10.2022 (Ex.P.1). 3. on memo upon a surprise check by ACB officials on 12.11.2018 on the District Registrar’s office, Chittoor. After conducting an inquiry, further action against the petitioner was dropped by G.O.Rt.No.666, dated 23.09.2024. (b) The petitioner made representation dated 07.10.2024 (Ex.P.3) to the 3'''^ respondent to consider her case for promotion to the post of Senior Assistant nationally or on par with the juniors who were promoted. Since her representation is not considered, the above writ petition is filed. At the hearing,
learned counsel for the petitioner confined his
arguments and urged the Court to direct the respondents to consider her representation, in accordance, with the Rules.

5. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services did not refute the said submission.

6. Indeed, directing the authorities to consider the representation is deprecated by the Hon’ble Apex Court in Government of India v. P.Venkatesh^ Since the writ petition is filed to consider the representation of the petitioner, keeping the writ petition pending will not serve any purpose. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, the Writ Petition is
disposed of at the admission stage with the consent of learned counsel on either side directing the learned 3'^^ respondent to consider petitioner’s representation dated 07.10.2024 (Ex.P.3) and pass appropriate orders, strictly as per the Rules within three (3) months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. No order as to costs.

8. As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
