1. In the present petition, the grievance being raised by the petitioners is that they are entitled for the grant of benefit of pay scale as mentioned in the statutory rules keeping in view the judgment of this Court in CWP-15896-2023 titled as Saurabh Sharma and others vs. State of Punjab and another decided on 13.09.2024
, which judgment has already been upheld up to the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India but the said benefit is not being extended to the petitioners and the same is being extended only to the employees, who are approaching the Court,

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have already raised the said grievance in the representation/legal notice dated 12.05.2025 (Annexure P-11), which is still pending consideration with the respondents and the petitioners will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a AARTI SHARMA 2025.05.29 17:53 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-16294-2025 -2- direction is issued to the respondents to decide the same by passing an appropriate speaking order in a time bound manner.

4. On the asking of the Court, Mr. T.P.S. Chawla, Senior Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and submits that in case, representation/legal notice dated 12.05.2025 (Annexure P-11) has been received by the respondents and the same is still pending consideration with the authorities concerned, the same will be decided by the respondents by passing an appropriate speaking
order within a period of eight weeks from the date of the receipt of copy of this order. In case, it is found feasible to accept the claim of the petitioners, the same will be accepted, otherwise due reasons for not accepting the claim of the petitioners will be mentioned in the speaking order so passed which
order will be conveyed to the petitioners for their information and necessary action.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that keeping in view the statement of learned counsel for the respondents, the present petition may kindly be disposed of having been not pressed any further.
