The petitioner is before this Court seeking the following prayer: “I. Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other writ or order in the like nature directing the respondent authorities herein to forthwith correct the name of the petitioner in her SSLC marks as Shrust D/o. Shekappa bader as per the circuler dtd 25-10-2015 produced at Annexure-G, in the interest of justice and equity. II. Grant such other and further reliefs as are just even including the exemplary costs and compensation to the petitioners from the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:16775 WP No. 104152 of 2025 respondent herein in the interest of justice and equity. 2. Heard Shri Ramachandra A.Mali, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, shri T.Hanumareddy, learned AGA appearing for the respondents. 3. The father of the petitioner delving deep into the matter would not be required. It would suffice for the present, if the narration would commence from the civil suit that was filed by the father of the petitioner seeking correction of the date of birth and name of the father of the petitioner. The suit is decreed, notwithstanding the decree and a representation being rendered to the respondent to the effect, the State has not taken any action upon the said representation. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court, in the subject petition. 4. Learned AGA would submit that if reasonable time is granted, action would be taken qua representation and appropriate orders would be passed thereon. 5. In the light of the said submission, I deem it appropriate to dispose the subject petition directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 03.01.2017, - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:16775 WP No. 104152 of 2025 which is lying without consideration for the last eight years. Therefore, the State shall take action upon the representation within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Ordered accordingly.
