Petitioner in this writ petition prays for a direction to the Collector, Puri-Opposite Party No.2 to release the compensation under First Schedule and R&R assistance under the Second Schedule of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 to the Petitioner in respect of the land acquired for widening of road from medical square to Batagaon Chhaka in the district of Puri. 3. Mr. Nayak, learned Additional Government Advocate, on instruction, submits that the land in question stands recorded in the name of Sri Bhubaneswari Thakurani Bije, Krupasagarpatana represented through its Marfatdar (the Petitioner) in the district of Puri. Thus, the land acquisition compensation has already been pledged with the Commissioner of Endowments, Odisha, Bhubaneswar on 11th February, 2026. Copy of the written instruction submitted by Mr. Nayak, learned Additional Government Advocate in the Court today is taken on record. 4. Ms. Naidu, learned counsel for the Commissioner of Endowments also supports such submission and submits that the compensation amount has already been pledged with the Commissioner of Endowments, Odisha, Bhubaneswar. 5. In view of the above, Mr. Mohapatra, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner shall move the Commissioner of Endowments, Odisha, Bhubaneswar to release the compensation in his favour being the Marfatdar of the Deity. He, therefore, prays for withdrawal of the writ petition. 6. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is disposed of as withdrawn with an observation that the Petitioner if so advised may move the learned Commissioner of Endowments, Odisha, Bhubaneswar for release of compensation in his favour in the capacity of the Marfatdar of the deity and in that event, the learned Commissioner of Endowments, Odisha, Bhubaneswar may consider such prayer in accordance with law giving opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned.
