Petitioner who is a constable in Civil Police is aggrieved by the order of reversion dated 31.07.2024 passed in disciplinary proceedings under the U.P. Police Officers of Subordinate Ranks (Punishment & Appeal) Rules 1991 as well as order passed by the appellate authority dated 08.12.2024. 3. A preliminary objection has been raised by learned Standing Counsel that the petitioner has alternative efficacious remedy to file revision before the authority under the punishment and appeal rules. 4. In view of the above, I decline to grant indulgence in the matter at this stage, I provide that in the event petitioner prefers a revision within a period of four weeks from today the same shall be decided on merits within a further period of two months by means of reasoned and speaking order. 5.
