GP FOR SERVICES II The Court made the following ORDER: The petitioner, District Probation Officer, Grade I, Department of Juvenile Welfare Correctional Services & Welfare of Street Children, Eluru, Eluru District, Andhra Pradesh, filed the above writ petition to declare the action of respondent No.2 in issuing memo No.E1/30/2024-III dated 27.01.2025 granting seven days time to submit explanation, without extending time despite petitioner’s request, dated 03.02.2025, as illegal and arbitrary. 2. Heard Smt. Kavitha Gottipati, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Sarath, learned Assistant Government Pleader Services for the respondents. Page 2 of 3 SRS,J W.P.No.3117 of 2025 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a show cause notice vide memo No.E1/30/2024-III dated 27.01.2025 (Ex.P1) was issued to the petitioner calling upon him to submit explanation along with supporting documents, within seven working days from the date of receipt of the said notice. Learned counsel would further submit that the petitioner made representation dated 03.02.2025 (Ex.P2) requesting respondent No.2 to grant ten working days, to submit the explanation. However, the petitioner has not received any reply from respondent No.2 in response to Ex.P2. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services submitted instructions of respondent No.2. The relevant part of the instructions is extracted hereunder: “The individual vide his representation dated 03.02.2025 has requested to accord permission for another 10 working days to submit his explanation with relevant and supported documents. His request has been considered and necessary orders will be issued.” 5. Thus, as seen from the instructions furnished by respondent No.2, the request made by the petitioner vide Ex.P2 was considered and necessary orders will be passed by respondent No.2. 6. Given the facts and circumstances, since the grievance of the petitioner is worked out by granting ten more days for submission of explanation, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage with the consent of learned counsel on either side, directing the petitioner to submit the explanation within the time extended by respondent No.2. No costs.
