The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Ramkanda P.S. Case No. 37 of 2024, for the offences under Sections 103(1), 3(5) of the B.N.S. and Sections 3 / 4 of the Prevention of witch (Daain) Practices Act, pending in the Court of Smt. Veena Kumari, learned J. M. 1st Class, Garhwa. On 22.10.2024 at about 7:30 A.M., the petitioner came to the house of the informant and started abusing his wife and daughter-in-law. She was alleging that they were practicing witchcraft. Subsequently, the husband and sons of the petitioner came there armed with iron rod and started assaulting his wife and daughter-in-law of the Informant, due to which daughter-in-law of the informant succumbed to her injuries. The petitioner has initiated the entire occurrence and there is allegation that she has also participated in assaulting the deceased. In view of the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, her prayer for bail stands rejected at this stage. (Ambuj Nath, J.) Jay/-
