(Oral) The instant petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to get the alleged detenue, namely Navjot Kaur, released from the illegal detention of respondent Nos. 4 to 8. Direction was accordingly issued to dent No. 3-SHO concerned to visit the premises of respondents No. 4, 6 and 7 and file a report about the presence of the alleged detenue. It is further submitted that the alleged detenue along with respondent No. 4-Gurdeep Singh had filed a petition bearing CRWP No. 5640 2024 (O&M) - Notice of motion. Ms. Ruchika Sabherwal, Sr. DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the State and seeks some time to get instructions. Learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes to supply a complete set of the paperbook to her during the course of List again on 19.07.2024. Learned State counsel has submitted that in fact respondent No. 4 has filed a petition bearing 55277-2024, seeking quashing of aforementioned FIR No. 43, and r dated 07.11.2024 passed by this Court in the said petition, it has been directed that no coercive action shall be taken against respondent No. 4 Gurdeep Singh. In view of the position explained above, it cannot be stated that the daughter of the petitioner, namely Navjot Kaur, is in illegal detention of the private respondents warranting any further action. Hence, no further orders are called for in the matter.
