The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, and Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, seeking quashing of the proceedings initiated against the petitioner under Section 47 of the Delhi Police Act, 1978. 2. Dr. L.S. Chaudhary, counsel appearing for the petitioner, submits that the impugned proceedings are vitiated on account of the non-fulfilment of the procedure prescribed under law. Mr. Amol Sinha, ASC for the State, however, points out that, on 24.07.2025, the final order has come to be passed in the said proceedings, whereby the petitioner has been directed to maintain good conduct. 4. I have heard counsel for the parties and perused the record. 5. In view of the passing of the final order dated 24.07.2025, the Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the present petition, with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the said order before the appropriate forum, in accordance with law. 6. The petitioner shall be at liberty to raise all the issues, including the one raised in the instant petition. 7. If any limitation is prescribed for the filing of such an appeal, the same shall stand extended by a period of 30 days from today; and the appeal shall not be dismissed on the ground of limitation, if it is filed within the said period of 30 days from today. 8. A copy of the order dated 24.07.2025 has been supplied to counsel for the petitioner during the course of the day.
The same may be challenged, in accordance with law, before the appropriate forum. 9. The petition stands disposed of. 10. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
