The petitioner has preferred the present petition with the following prayers:- Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing to the respondent no. 6 and 7 to include the name of the petitioner in the family register of her husband late Bachchan Ram in the native Village- Ugapur, Pargana and Tehsil-Mariyahun, District-Jaunpur in accordance with provision of Rule 5 and 6 of U.P. Panchayat Raj (Maintenance of Family Registers) Rules, 1970 made under section 110 of U.P. Panchayat Raj Act 1947. 2. It is argued by learned counsel for the petitioner that for the purpose of inclusion of the name of the petitioner in the Family Registrar, an application was submitted by the petitioner before the District Magistrate, Jaunpur on 25.10.2024 and the same was forwarded by him before the Chief Development Officer concerned on the very same day. It is argued that since no action has been taken in the matter, the petitioner submitted an application on I.G.R.S Portal. On the aforesaid application, a report has been submitted by Assistant Development Officer, Panchayat on 09.01.2025 stating therein that for the purpose of inclusion of the name of the petitioner in the Family Registrar, necessary papers and documents were not provided by the petitioner and in case, the petitioner will provide necessary papers and documents, necessary decision will be taken on the same, copy of hte report is annexed as Annexure No.12 to the writ petition. It is argued that the aforesaid report has been submitted without considering the documents submitted by the petitioner. It is argued that the petitioner is ready and willing to submit documents as per the aforesaid report. 3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. 4. In the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of permitting the petitioner to submit necessary papers and documents before the respondent No.6/Assistant Development Officer, Panchayat Block Mriyahun, District Jaunpur as per report dated 09.01.2025. In case, the petitioner does so, the respondent No.6 will take a decision in the matter expeditiously.
