Learned Additional Government Advocate accepts notice for respondents No.1 to 4. 2. The petitioners are before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:12308 WP No. 105656 of 2025 a. Issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, directing the Respondent No.4, to give effect to the grant order at Annexure-A, to carry out the mutation of the land measuring 2 Acres and 28 Cents in Survey No.500/4 of Somasamudra Village, jointly in the names of the Petitioners. b. Issue a further direction to Respondent No.4 to issue a fresh and updated Record of Rights, Tenancy and Crops (RTC) reflecting the joint names of the Petitioners as the owners and occupants. c. Pass such other and further orders as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the supreme interest of justice. 3. The grievance of the petitioners is that though the land bearing Survey No.500/4 (renumbered as Sy.No.500/A) measuring 2 acres 28 guntas situated at Somasamundra Village, Tq:Kurugodu, had been granted in favour of the petitioners vide order dated 25.08.1982, the application which had been submitted by the petitioners for entry of their names in the RTCs has not been considered and no orders have been passed. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:12308 WP No. 105656 of 2025 4. Whenever any application is filed by a citizen for entry of the name in the RTCs, the same would have to be considered and necessary orders passed within a reasonable period of time either accepting or rejecting the said request. Neither having been done, I pass the following: ORDER i) Writ petition is allowed. ii) A mandamus is issued directing respondent No.4 to consider the applications submitted by the petitioners at Annexure-C series and pass necessary orders in accordance with law within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
