No 37 of 2024 on the file fo principal distrct Munsif court, Cuddalore and not to interfere with the peaceful administration of the petitioner over the subject temple and its properties. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 17267 of 2025 __________ Page2 of 4 For Petitioner(s): Mr.C.N.Prarthana for Mr.R.Rajavelan For Respondent(s): Mr.R.Ganesh Kumar Government Advocate FOR R1 TO R3 Mr.S.Saravana Kumar For R4 ORDER This Writ Petition is filed for forbearing the respondents 1 to 3 from interfering in the Civil dispute pending between the petitioner and the 4th respondent with regard to administration and management of Kamatchi Amman Devasthanam Temple, Cuddalore pending suit in O.S.No.37 of 2024 on the file of the learned Principal District Munsif Court, Cuddalore and further not to interfere with the peaceful administration of the petitioner over the subject temple and its properties. 2. It is seen that a dispute exists between the petitioner and the 4th respondent regarding the administration and management of the Kamatchi Amman Devasthanam Temple, Cuddalore. In this regard, a civil suit is pending in O.S. No. 37 of 2024 on the file of the learned Principal District Munsif Court, Cuddalore. Such being the case, respondents 1 to 3, acting on the instructions of the 4th respondent, allegedly compelled the petitioner to conduct temple activities jointly with the 4th respondent, thereby interfering in a civil dispute. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 17267 of 2025 __________ Page3 of 4 Apart from that, the 4th respondent high-handedly entered the temple premises and looted ornaments, jewels, minute books, and audit documents spanning 20 years belonging to the temple. In this regard, the petitioner lodged a complaint, based on which the 3rd respondent registered an FIR in Crime No. 557 of 2023 under Sections 294(b), 506(1), 448, 425, and 379 of the IPC against the 4th respondent and two other and thereafter, the 3rd respondent filed a final report, which was taken cognizance of by the trial court in C.C. No. 159 of 2026. Despite this, respondents 1 to 3 continue to interfere in the pending civil dispute between the petitioner and the 4th respondent. 3. In view of the above, respondents 1 to 3 are directed not to interfere in the civil dispute between the petitioner and the 4th respondent regarding the administration and management of the Kamatchi Amman Devasthanam Temple, Cuddalore. However, respondents 1 to 3 are directed to take appropriate action in accordance with law if any cognizable offence is committed by either party. 4. With the above observations and directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
