JUSTICE SURAJ GOVINDARAJ) 1. The petitioners are before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: i. Issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondent to consider the application filed by the Petitioners dated 17.05.2025 produced vide Annexure- A for mutating the names of the Petitioners in R.S.No.266/2f to the extent of 5 Gunthas according to the partition dated 01.05.1977 which is confirmed by the order passed by this Hon'ble Court in R.F.A.No.100039/2018 dated 25.01.2025 (Annexure - D). ii. Any other reliefs that may be deemed necessary in the interest of justice. 2. The short grievance of the petitioners is that, the request of the petitioners to mutate their names in the revenue records pertaining to R.S.No.266/2F to the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:10929 WP No. 106221 of 2025 extent of 5 guntas, has not been considered in terms of the decree of partition, which is confirmed by this Court in RFA No.100039/2018. 3. Whenever any application is being filed by a citizen to a particular authority, the said authority is required to pass necessary orders on the same, either accepting or rejecting it, within a reasonable period of time. Neither having been done in the present case, I pass the following: ORDER i. Writ petition is allowed. ii. Respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioners dated 17.05.2025, at Annexure-A, within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
