ORAL ORDER (PER: THE HON'BLE MR JUSTICE S.VISHWAJITH SHETTY)
1. Accused no.8 in Crime No.18/2024 registered by Jamakhandi Town Police Station, Bagalkot District, for the offences punishable under Sections 143, 147, 148, 323, 324, 326, 504, 506, 149 IPC, is before this Court under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, seeking anticipatory bail. 2. Heard the learned Counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.18/2025 was registered by Jamakhandi Town Police Station, Bagalkot District, for the aforesaid offences against Samarth Sindagi and others based on the first information dated 27.02.2024 received from Rajeshwari Babu Jagadal. Apprehending arrest in the said case, petitioner had filed Crl. Misc. No.5129/2025 before the jurisdictional Sessions Court, which was rejected on 11.07.2025. Therefore, he is before this Court. 4. Perusal of the material on record would go to show that first information in the present case was registered against Samarth Sindagi and four unknown persons.

name of the petitioner is not found in the first information. He is now arrayed as accused no.8 in the present case. Accused no.1 has been granted anticipatory bail by the coordinate bench of this Court in Crl.P.No.101257/2025 disposed of on 03.04.2025. It is not in dispute that petitioner has no criminal antecedents. Investigation of the case is completed and charge sheet has been filed. Under the circumstances, I am of the opinion that petitioner’s prayer for grant of anticipatory bail is required to be answered affirmatively. Accordingly, the following order:
5. The petition is allowed. The respondent – Police or any other Police in the State of Karnataka are directed to release the petitioner in the event of his arrest in Crime No.18/2024 registered by Jamakhandi Town Police Station, Bagalkot District, for the offences punishable under Sections 143, 147, 148, 323, 324, 326, 504, 506, 149 IPC, subject to the following conditions: i. The petitioner shall appear before the Investigating Officer within 15 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order and shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties for the like sum to the satisfaction of the investigating officer. - 4 -

ii. The petitioner shall regularly appear before the Trial Court without fail unless exempted by the Trial Court for valid reasons. iii. The petitioner shall not tamper with the prosecution witness and he shall co-operate with the police for investigation and appear before them whenever called upon. iv.
