The Court made the following: :: ORDER :: The above contempt case is filed complaining about the violation of the order dated 06.11.2024 in I.A.No.1 of 2024 in W.P.No.24665 of 2024. 2. Heard learned counsel appearing on either side. 3. The petitioner, Deputy Executive Engineer, Tribal Welfare, filed the aforementioned writ petition impugning the G.O.Ms.No.25 Department of Tribal Welfare (Services) dated 17.10.2024, deferring his promotion for the panel year 2015-2016, due to the pendency of the disciplinary proceedings, as illegal and arbitrary. 4. This Court, on 06.11.2024 granted interim order, directing the respondent authorities to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion in review DPC, if the petitioner is eligible. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the authority conducted a review DPC and promoted one Smt. B. Vasantha vide G.O.Ms.No.2 Department of Tribal Welfare (Services), dated 31.01.2025, to the post of Superintending Engineer. He would also submit that though the petitioner is eligible, the respondent authorities promoted Smt. B. Vasantha and thus, violated the order of this Court. 6. In fact, as seen from the order dated 06.11.2024, this Court directed the respondent authorities to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion in SRS,J C.C.No.509 of 2025 review DPC, if the petitioner is eligible. The respondent authorities, on considering the material available thereon, promoted one Smt. B. Vasantha. 7. Since the promotion was affected by following the procedure, this Court does not find any violation of the order dated 06.11.2024 in I.A.No.1 of 2024 in W.P.No.24665 of 2024. 8. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, the Contempt Case is closed. No order as to costs.
