The petitioner seeks that OP (HMA) No.457/2025, pending before the learned Family Court, Attingal, be directed to be taken up and disposed of within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, however, conceding that she has not moved the said Court seeking expeditious disposal of the Original Petition. 2. We are aware that there is large pendency in every Family Court and we cannot be oblivious to this. Obviously, therefore, we can only allow the petitioner to move the learned Trial Court with an appropriate application; and this, in our view, is in accordance with the declarations in Shiju Joy A. v. Nisha [2021 (2) KLT 607]. In the afore circumstances, we close this Original Petition; however, leaving liberty to the petitioner to move the learned Family Court, Attingal, with an appropriate application for expeditious disposal of OP (HMA) No.457/2025 and if the same 2025:KER:29434 OP(FC) 208/25 3 is filed within a period of two weeks from today, the same shall be considered by the said Court in its proper perspective, leading to appropriate orders/action without any avoidable delay.
