Heard learned counsel appearing on either side. 3. The petitioner, Deputy Executive Engineer, Tribal Welfare, filed the aforementioned writ petition, complaining about inaction on the part of respondent authorities in considering his case for promotion to the post of Superintending Engineer, due to the pendency of the disciplinary proceedings, as illegal and arbitrary. 4. The said writ petition was disposed of on 16.10.2024, directing the respondent authorities to consider the petitioner’s case for promotion, if he is in the zone of consideration in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257 General Administration (Ser.C) Department, dated 10.06.1999. Thereafter, the Government vide G.O.Ms.No.2 Department of Tribal Welfare (Services), dated 31.01.2025, promoted one Smt. B. Vasantha, to the post of Superintending Engineer. 5.
