JUDGMENT The petitioner is an employee covered by the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme of Insurance Coverage. The petitioner has filed this writ petition for the following reliefs:
“i) issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction commanding the respondents to make all necessary arrangements to ensure the prompt supply of 12 monthly dozes of the life- saving drug viz., ‘Durvalumab’ and also to make
immediate
arrangements
for administering the said drug to the petitioner’s father Sri.S.Krishnakumar at the earliest possible date on the same terms the earlier dozes were supplied by the respondents.”
2. This Court, by order dated 01.04.2025, passed an interim direction to the competent among the respondents to consider Ext.P7
WP(C) No.13454 of 2025 3 2025:KER:30225 representation and to arrange for the drugs within four days.

Sri.V.K.Sunil,
learned
Senior Government Pleader, submits that though Ext.P7 representation was not received by the 1st respondent, on receipt of a copy of the interim
order, steps were taken to arrange for the drugs within the time stipulated therein.
4. Sri.T.V.Ajaya Kumar, learned Standing Counsel for the ESI Corporation, also submits that the first doze of the medicine was administered to the petitioner.
5. It is further submitted by the learned Senior Government Pleader as well as the learned Standing Counsel that the remaining 11 dozes will be administered to the petitioner without fail.
