Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC:104024 Court No. - 34 Case :- WRIT - C No. - 17664 of 2025 Petitioner :- Naima Khatoon Respondent :- State Of U.P. And 2 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Shams Uz Zaman Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Rohit Ranjan Agarwal,J. This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer: "i. Issue A writ order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondent, to expedite the case as early as possible within a specific time in Case no 19283 of 2024 under section 34 of Land Revenue Act (Naima Khatoon and others Vs Gram Sabha) pending in the court of Tahsildar sadar, Meerut, during the pendency of the present writ petition, and/or any order or direction which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the present case. Otherwise the petitioner shall suffer irreparable loss and injury." It is contended that Case No.19283 of 2024 filed under section- 34 U.P. Land Revenue Act is pending consideration before respondent no.3. The sole prayer made in the writ petition is to expedite the aforesaid case. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, the writ petition is being disposed of, at the admission stage, without calling for counter affidavit, with a direction upon respondent no.3 to decide Case No.19283 of 2024 filed under section- 34 U.P. Land Revenue Act, in accordance with law, after hearing all affected parties, preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. With the aforesaid direction, present writ petition stands disposed of. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the case on merit.
