The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Chouparan P.S. Case No. 187 of 2024 for the offences registered under sections 17(c), 18(c), 20(b) ii (c) & 29 of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the court of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, N.D.P.S. Act, Hazaribag. On 01.06.2024, Chouparan police raided the house of the petitioner and seized 63.5 kgs. of poppy husks from there. It was submitted that quantum of seized poppy husks comes within the purview of commercial quantity. In view of the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.
