NOVEMBER 26, 2025 The petitioners have approached this Court seeking directions against the respondent/State to investigate the matter in terms of Section 157 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short “the Code”). 2] Admittedly, First Information Report (FIR) under Section 154 of the Code has been not registered, in fact, the petitioners are seeking directions against respondent no.3 to lodge FIR against respondent nos. 4 to 6 in Criminal Writ Petition No. 208/2021, and against respondent nos. 4 to 16 in Criminal Application No. 371/2021. 3] That being so, and since FIR has been not registered, the petitioners could not have approached this Court calling upon the respondent/State to proceed with investigation in terms of Section 157 of the Code. 2025:BHC-NAG:12922-DB 905-WP-208-2021 2 4] The petition and the application are, accordingly, dismissed.
