1. Heard Mr. S. J. Sarmah, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. D. P. Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam.
2. This is an application filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, in respect of Tinsukia Case No.424/2024.
3. The Branch Manager of Annapurna Financial Private Limited has lodged an FIR
Page No.# 2/2 before the Police alleging that the present petitioner that his predecessor, who had served as Branch Manager had misappropriated a large amount of money.
4. On one occasion, he even misappropriation a sum of Rs.4,10,000/-.
5. The Case Diary has some incriminating materials against him.
6. I have considered the submissions made by learned counsel for both the sides.
7. This Court is of the opinion that in the present Case thorough Police Investigation is required.
8. Allowing the prayer of Anticipatory Bail might hamper Police Investigation.
9. This is not a fit case for exercising the power under Section 482 of the BNSS,
2023.
10. For the aforesaid reason, the present bail application is found to be devoid of merit and stands dismissed and disposed of accordingly.
