The Additional Government Advocate has filed a counter affidavit which is taken on record. It has been stated in the counter affidavit that the petitioner no. 2 has been given in the custody of her mother after ascertaining the wishes of the girl who expressed her desire to go with her mother. It is also admitted by the counsel for the petitioners that the girl has now been released from the custody of the Child Welfare Committee. Because the girl, at present, is not in illegal detention, the present petition for habeas corpus has become infructuous and is dismissed as such. The petitioners may exercise any other remedy available to them in law.
