Applicant-Anuj Kumar has filed the present Application for regular bail. He is in judicial custody under Section 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 in Case Crime No.03 of 2025, registered at Vigilance Sector, Dehradun. 2. Heard Mr. R.P. Singh, learned counsel for the applicant and Mr. Pradeep Lohani, learned Brief Holder for the respondent. 3. Mr. Pradeep Lohani, Brief Holder, has opposed the bail application. He submitted that one Radha Rani filed an application for mutation on 23.01.2023. Co-accused Monu (female) was working as a Revenue Sub-Inspector. She demanded bribe from the complainant, who is the husband of Radha Rani. The present applicant was arrested 1 2025:UHC:6091 on 09.04.2025 while taking bribe of Rs.4,500/-. He told the trap team that he had talked to the complainant about transactions at the request of the co-accused Monu. 4. Mr. R.P. Singh, learned counsel appearing for the applicant contended that the applicant has been falsely implicated in the present matter. He never demanded bribe from the complainant. The alleged amount was not recovered from his possession. The report of Forensic Science Laboratory has not been received yet. Applicant has no criminal antecedents. He is a permanent resident of District Haridwar. He is in custody since 09.04.2025. 5. Having considered the submissions of learned counsel for both the parties and in the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion as to the merit of the case, this Court is of the view that the applicant deserves bail at this stage. 6. The Bail Application is allowed. 7. Let the applicant – Anuj Kumar be released on bail on his executing a personal bond and furnishing two reliable sureties, each in the like amount, to the satisfaction of the court concerned. ___________________ ALOK KUMAR VERMA, J.
