Pursuant to the earlier order of this Court, instructions have been placed by the learned Standing Counsel, a copy of which has been supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioner, which are taken on record. 2. From the instructions, it transpires that the petitioner's candidature has been rejected only on the ground that there is discrepancy of month and date in the date of birth recorded in online application form filled by the petitioner. 3. According to the instructions, the date of birth of the petitioner as per her High School Mark-sheet is 05.03.1993; whereas in her online application form filled by her, the date of birth is 03.05.1993. 4. It is, thus, not disputed that the petitioner's year of date of birth is 1993 and it appears that 05.03.1993 has got wrongly been filled up as 03.05.1993. There was interchange of month and date. 5. In the considered view of the Court once the original document has been placed before the authorities, copies were very much available with them, this discrepancy ought to have been corrected unless and until, the petitioner on account of a particular age on a particular date was not to be held eligible to hold the post. Naturally, petitioner had the age on account of the year of birth as 1993. 6. In the circumstances, therefore, the respondents are not justified in ignoring the candidature of the petitioner, and as such this petition stands disposed of with the direction to the respondent to redraw the merit list taking the date of birth of the petitioner as 05.03.1993 as per her High School Mark-sheet. The Selection of Veermati Devi shall depend upon the merit of the select list which is to be drawn afresh as directed above by this Court.
