Hon'ble Ashwani Kumar Mishra,J. Hon'ble Donadi Ramesh,J. Petitioner's application for renewal of passport has been rejected on account of pendency of proceedings before the criminal court. The order impugned dated 11.12.2024 is subject to filing of the appeal under Section 11 of the Passport Act, 1967. In view of the remedy available to petitioner, we decline to entertain the present writ petition. Leaving it open for the petitioner to pursue the remedy before the appropriate forum, this petition is consigned to records. In the facts of the case, however, it is provided that in the event petitioner prefers an appeal before the appropriate forum, within two weeks from today, the appeal shall be entertained on merits, without raising any objection with regard to limitation.
