Petitioner participated in a “Combined State Civil/Upper Subordinate Service Main Exams 2016”, and she claimed benefit of reservation available to uttarakhand women. Since she did not enclose domicile certificate with her application, therefore, the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission rejected her candidature. Thus, feeling aggrieved, petitioner filed this writ petition seeking following relief:- “i. Issue a writ or order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the case of the petitioner and to permit her to participate in “Combined State Civil/Upper Subordinate Service Main Exams 2016” going to be held on 26.9.2017 to 29.9.2017 as per selection list.” 5. Learned counsel appearing for the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission submits that the relief as claimed by the petitioner do not survive as the selection process concluded in the year 2018 itself. 6. Having regard to the prayer made by the petitioner, we also think that the relief as claimed do not survive. Even otherwise also, petitioner did not challenge the decision taken by the Selecting Body to reject her candidature, and she simply sought a writ of mandamus to permit her to appear in the main examination. 7.
