It is the case of the petitioner that his father was working as a Kaksha Sevak / Ward Attendant in the Community Health Centre, Jaspur, Udham Singh Nagar, who died in service on 28.12.2022. The petitioner is qualified. He applied for his appointment under Dying in Harness Rules. The respondent no.3/The Chief Medical Officer, Udham Singh Nagar, also forwarded the proposal to the respondent no.2/The Director General, Medical Health and Family Welfare, Uttarakhand, but no decision has been taken. Lastely, it is the case of the petitioner that on 03.04.2025, he made a representation to the respondent no.2/ The Director General, Medical Health and Family Welfare, Uttarakhand, but even after such long duration, decision has not been taken by the respondent no.2/ The Director General, Medical Health and Family Welfare, Uttarakhand, on this subject. Heard. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it is more than 2 years since the father of the petitioner has died; the petitioner has his family responsibility; the petitioner has not been offered appointment despite the petitioner having completed all the formalities and undergone various courses; the representation lastly was given on 03.04.2025; the petitioner has also referred to the intra departmental correspondence on the subject. Learned State Counsel would submit that the representation dated 03.04.2025, Annexure No. 13 to the writ petition, will be decided by the respondent no.2/ The Director General, Medical Health and Family Welfare, Uttarakhand, within a period of 2 months. The writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent.2/ The Director General, Medical Health and Family Welfare, Uttarakhand, to decide the representation dated 03.04.2025(Annexure No.13) of the petitioner within a period of 2 months from today.
