The present Petition, under Section 25B(8) of the Delhi Rent Control Act, 1958, seeks to assail the Order dated 16.05.2025 passed by the learned SCJ cum RC, Shahdara District, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi in RC ARC 140/2023. 2. After advancing arguments for a considerable period of time, learned counsel appearing for the parties, on instructions, submit that the parties would like to settle the matter in the following terms: “i) The Petitioner shall vacate the tenanted premises on or before 15.04.2027. ii) The Petitioner shall make a payment of Rs. 25,000/- before the 7th day of every calendar month from today till 15.04.2027. It is made clear that even for the half month of April, 2027, the full rent of Rs. 25,000/- will be paid by the Petitioner herein. iii) Petitioner also waives his rights under Section 19 of the Delhi Rent Control Act, 1958.” This is a digitally signed order. The Petitioner undertakes to file an Affidavit of Undertaking to this effect within a period of two (02) weeks from today, failing which he shall be liable to vacate the subject premises forthwith. 4. Petitioner further undertakes that in the event of violation of any of the terms stipulated in the undertaking so filed, then the Respondent shall be at liberty to take such steps as are permissible under the law, inter alia, initiation of contempt proceeding as against him. 5. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, the matter stands disposed of in the above terms. 6. The Registry is directed to take on record the affidavit filed by the Petitioner.
