The following prayers have been made in the present petition:- "(i) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding and directing the respondent No.2 to pay the balance subsidy amount of 16 % according to the guideline issued by him to the petitioner forthwith. (ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding and directing the respondent Nos.2 and 3 to consider and decide the application/representation of the petitioner, within specific period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court." 2. The case of the petitioner is that he was entitled to 50 % subsidy on the sale value of the tractor purchased by him for removal of the residue of the harvested crop, under the Crop Residue Scheme. The respondents have paid Rs.3,40,000/- only out of subsidy amount of Rs.5,02,000/-, the balance amount is thus being claimed. 3. Learned Standing Counsel does not oppose the second prayer in relation to decision to be taken by the respondents upon the claim of the petitioner. 4. Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on merits, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 to take decision on the representation of the petitioner dated 15.09.2024 in relation to payment of balance amount of subsidy within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of the instant order along with photocopy of the representation.
