The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner who has been placed under suspension vide the order dated 15.02.2025 in Exhibit P-2 on the ground that the petitioner while on duty, driving the bus of KSRTC was found to have consumed alcohol beyond permissible limit. The petitioner has submitted an appeal against the said order of suspension on 05.03.2025 before the 2nd respondent, the Chairman and Managing Director, the appellate authority. 2. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the present writ petition may be disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider and decide the appeal filed by the petitioner expeditiously. 3. Considering the limited prayer made in this writ petition, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to decide the appeal of the petitioner in Exhibit P-3 dated 05.03.2025 against the suspension order dated 15.02.2025 expeditiously, preferably within a period of one month.
