1. Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.
2. By way of the present writ petition, a direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents not to interfere in peaceful marital life of petitioners, has been sought.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are major and have solemnized their marriage with each other of their own freewill according to Hindu Rites and Custom on 19.05.2025 and their marriage has also been registered on 19.5.2025 under the Uttar Pradesh Marriages Registration Rules, 2017 and for that they are being threatened and harassed by respondent no.4.
Learned counsel for petitioners further submitted that in pursuance of the hindrances being created by respondent no.4, petitioners moved a representation before Senior Superintendent of Police, Rampur but no heed has been paid, hence this petition.
4. Per contra, learned Standing Counsel vehemently opposed the prayer sought through the instant petition but did not dispute the aforesaid facts.

disposed of with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Rampur to provide protection to petitioners in shape of providing
contact number of concerned Sub-Inspector/Head Constable to the petitioners so that in case of any apprehension of mishappening or any emergency which requires protection from the private respondents in pursuance of solemnization of their marriage, they may directly contact to the same authority who will respond within a shortest period of time over the destination.
7. The protection as granted above shall be in operation for three months from today.
