The petitioner has prayed for a writ of mandamus commanding respondent no. 2 to decide his representation dated 07.10.2024 in respect of payment of compensation in pursuance of award given under the Railways Act. The case of the petitioner is that the acquired land (Plot No. 143/1) belonged to his father and after his death he has got right to claim compensation, which has not been paid to him nor to his father. 2. A perusal of the documents annexed with the writ petition reveal that on 28.09.2024, the Competent Authority rejected the representation of the petitioner in respect of payment of compensation amount after noticing that Plot No. 143/1 for which compensation was claimed, was recorded in the name of Municipal Board. The said order is not under challenge before this Court. Consequently, no purpose would be served in directing the respondents to once again decide the representation of the petitioner. 3.
