Issue Writ in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondents to consider the representation dated 07/02/2025 vide Annexure-A by granting the land bearing R.S. No.105/1 measuring 04 Acres 14 Guntas situated at Guttigolli village of Ramdurg Taluk, Dist. Belagavi to the Petitioners on one year lavani basis i.e., 01 Acre -07 Guntas each to the Petitioner No.1 and 2 and 02 Acres to Petitioner No.3, in the interest of justice and equity. ii. The petitioners had made a representation to respondent No.3 on 07.02.2025 for grant of land on a yearly lease basis. In furtherance of the said application, respondent No.3 - the Tahsildar, had recommended the application of the petitioners for consideration to respondent No.2, which has not been considered or acted upon. In that background, petitioners are before this Court seeking for the aforesaid reliefs. 4. Whenever any application is being filed by a citizen to a particular authority, the said authority is required to pass necessary orders on the same, either accepting or rejecting it, within a reasonable period of time. Neither having been done in the present case, I pass the following: ORDER i. Writ Petition is allowed. ii. A writ of mandamus is issued, directing respondent No.2 to consider the representation - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:9464 WP No. 105183 of 2025 dated 07.02.2025 of the petitioner and the recommendation made by respondent No.3 dated 25.02.2025 at Annexure-C, within a period of four weeks from today.
