THIS WRIT PETITION IS FILED UNDER ARTICLES 226 AND 227 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA PRAYING TO ISSUE A WRIT OF MANDAMUS DIRECTING RESPONDENT 2-7 HEREIN TO CONSIDER THE PETITIONERS REPRESENTATION DATED 07.07.2025 AS PER ANNEXRUE-G TO G5, IN VIEW OF CORRECTING THE SURNAME OF THE PETITIONER, IN ACCORDANCE WITH LAW. ORAL ORDER

1. The petitioner is before this Court seeking the following prayer: a. Issue a Writ of Mandamus directing Respondent 2-7 herein to consider the Petitioner’s representation dated 07.07.2025 as per ANNEXRUE-G to G5, in view of correcting the Surname of the Petitioner, in accordance with law. b. Issue such other Writ/order direction as deemed fit under the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice. 2. The petitioner's birth certificate, Aadhar card, and all other relevant records contain the name of the petitioner as Inchara P. Nayaka. However, an error has crept in the marks card wherein the surname of the petitioner is indicated as Nayak instead of Nayaka.
Therefore, the petitioner has submitted a

representation to the respondent-State to correct the name as is available in the Aadhar card or all other statutory documents. The representation has not been considered, therefore the petitioner is before this Court. 3. In the light of the aforesaid circumstances, learned AGA submits that if reasonable time is granted, the representation of the petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed. 4. In that light, I deem it appropriate to dispose the petition with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass necessary orders addressing the grievance of the petitioner, in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if not earlier.
