Order No. 03 / Dated : 24.04.2025.
1. This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for direction upon the respondents to make payment of the admitted dues of Rs. 6,53,715/- for successful completion of work within the stipulated time-frame with interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum on the said amount.
2. It is submitted by the learned counsel on behalf of the petitioner that the main grievance of the petitioner is that even after completion of work, the dues have not been paid to the petitioner and the representation dated 17.08.2020 (Annexure-2) and 19.11.2020 (Annexure-3), filed by the petitioner, has not been considered and decision has not been taken on it.
3. This Court is of the view that once the representation has been filed, it should have been disposed of without any delay. Since the matter appears to be quite old, therefore, the petitioner is directed to submit representation afresh with necessary details before the respondent no. 2- General Manager (I/C) Eastern Coalfields Limited, Godda, who on receipt of the said representation, shall dispose of the same within eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of. Pending I.A., if any, stands disposed of.
