The petitioner has preferred the present petition with the prayer to direct the respondent No.2/District Magistrate, Banda to decide the Application No.33009AI888221 filed by the petitioner on 25.07.2021 for grant of firearm licence (Rifle Gun) on the basis of succession, expeditiously. 3. It is argued by learned counsel for the petitioner that the father of the petitioner died in the year 2011 and for grant of firearm license on the basis of succession, the petitioner had filed application on 25.07.2021 before the respondent No.2/District Magistrate, Banda. It is argued that considerable time has already been lapsed but till date no final decision has been taken in the matter and prays to direct the respondent No.2 to decide the aforesaid application, expeditiously. 4. Learned counsel for the respondents have no objection. 5. Heard learned counsel for the parties and pureed the record. 6. In the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of directing the respondent No.2/District Magistrate, Banda to decide the aforesaid application strictly in accordance with law most expeditiously and preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of a certified copy before him.
