Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC:103019-DB Chief Justice's Court Case :- WRIT - A No. - 7575 of 2025 Petitioner :- Sanjeev Kumar Agnihotri And Another Respondent :- Central Administrative Tribunal, Additional Bench Uttar Pradesh at Allahabad and 10 others Counsel for Petitioner :- Prabhat Pandey Hon'ble Arun Bhansali,Chief Justice Hon'ble Kshitij Shailendra,J. 1. This petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking a direction to the Central Administrative Tribunal, Allahabad for deciding Original Application No. 871 of 2021 pending before it within a stipulated period. 2. Submissions have been made that proceedings are pending since the year 2021, the matter though it getting listed, the same is being adjourned from time to time and, therefore, the Tribunal be directed to hear and decide the matter with expedition. 3. Having gone through the averments made in the petition as well as the order sheets of the Tribunal filed by the petitioner, it is apparent that the matter though is getting repeatedly listed before the Tribunal, for the reasons indicated in the order sheets i.e. inter alia on account of granting time to the petitioner himself for filing supplementary rejoinder affidavit, the same is getting adjourned. On the one hand, the order sheets indicate that the petitioner himself is seeking time and on the other, filing of the petition before this Court seeking a direction to the Tribunal to hear and decide the matter with expedition, are in terms contradictory. 4. In that view of the matter, no case for issuing any direction is made out. Besides the above, in case the petitioner feels that for any reason the matter was unnecessarily getting adjourned and wants expeditious hearing, the petitioner can always approach the Tribunal with an appropriate application. Filing of the petition for the said purpose before this Court cannot be countenanced. The petition has no substance, the same is, therefore, dismissed.
