The petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: i) Issue Writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ or direction to Respondent Nos. 2 to 4 to delete the name of the Government in column no.9 and enter the name of the petitioner in the record of Rights in respect of the lands bearing Sy.No.99/*/1 Measuring 1 Acre 48 Cents Sy.No.99/*/2 Measuring 1 Acre 96 Cents Sy.No.99/*/A Measuring 1 Acre 48 Cents Sy.No.99/*/B Measuring 1 Acre 96 Cents Sy.No.99/*/3 Measuring 33 Cents Sy.No.99/*/D Measuring 33 Cents Sy.No.99/*/A Measuring 9 Cents Sy.No.98/*/A Measuring 30 Cents - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:10588 WP No. 106012 of 2025 situated at Aralihalli Village Kampli Taluka of Bellari District in the interest of justice and equity. ii) Grant any such other reliefs as deemed fit in the circumstances of the case in the interest of justice and equity. 2. The petitioner claims to have purchased various lands in Survey No.99 i.e., Sy.No.99/*/1 measuring 1 acre 48 cents, Sy.No.99/*/2 measuring 1 acre 96 cents, Sy.No.99/*/A measuring 1 acre 48 cents, Sy.No.99/*/B measuring 1 acre 96 cents, Sy.No.99/*/3 measuring 33 cents, Sy.No.99/*/D measuring 33 cents, Sy.No.99/*/A measuring 9 cents, Sy.No.98/*/A measuring 30 cents, all situated at Aralihalli Village, Kampli Taluka, Bellari District. 3. Respondent No.3/Tahasildar had issued a notice to the petitioner alleging that there is violation of Section 79A of Karnataka Land Reforms Act. The same came to be challenged by the petitioner in W.P.No.100863/2021, which came to be allowed vide order dated 09.03.2021, quashing the said notice. Despite which, the name of the petitioner has - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:10588 WP No. 106012 of 2025 continued to be deleted and the name of the Government has been added in the RTCs. 4. In that view of the matter, a representation has been submitted by the petitioner for adding the name of the petitioner and deleting the name of the Government, which has not been acted upon. Hence, I pass the following: ORDER i. Writ petition is allowed. ii. A mandamus is issued directing respondent Nos.2 and 3 to delete the name of the Government in column No.9 of the RTCs and insert the name of the petitioner in the said column within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
