The present petition has been filed praying for the following relief:- "(I) A writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding and directing to the respondent nos. 2 and 3 to release the amount, which is mentioned in receipt, in favour of the petitioner." The grievance of the petitioners is that they have not been paid the price of the articles supplied by them to the Municipal Council, Etah. The petition is disposed of with a direction that in case, the petitioners file a representation before the respondent no. 2, i.e., Chairman, Municipal Council, Etah, the same shall be decided within a period of one month from the date of filing the representation. In case any decision on the representation is to be taken by the Executive Officer of the Council, the Chairman shall forward the said representation to the Executive Officer of the Council, i.e., the respondent no. 3, who shall decide the same within a period fixed by this Court. In case, the petitioners are found entitled to the claim made by them, the same shall be paid within one month from the date of the decision.
