The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking directions to respondent to fix their pay at par with their junior.

The petitioners are claiming that they were appointed on 30.10.1997 as Assistant Lineman and respondent No.6 was appointed as ALM on 15.10.1997. They were further promoted to the post of Assistant Foreman. The respondent No.5 issued seniority list on 21.05.2024 wherein respondent No.6 was shown junior to petitioners. The respondent No.6 is getting more salary than petitioners, thus, they represented to respondents. The respondent No.7 issued letter to respondent No.8 for fixation of pay of petitioners at par with their junior. The respondent No.6 has also issued letter dated 30.08.2024 for fixation of their pay at par with PRINCE CHAWLA 2025.05.27 18:59 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that grievance of petitioners would be redressed at this stage if respondents are directed to decide their legal notice dated 07.01.2025 in a time bound manner.

Ms. Rajni Gupta, Addl. A.G., Haryana, who on advance notice is present in Court on behalf of respondent-State submits that competent authority would consider claim of petitioners and address their legal notice dated 07.01.2025 within three months from today.

In the wake of statements of learned counsel for the parties, the present petition stands disposed of.
