By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for consideration of his claim for compassionate appointment at the end of respondent as his father died in harness from the respondent establishment on 15.06.2023. It is contended on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner has made a representation before the competent authority on 17.07.2023 which is still pending consideration. Learned Standing Counsel submits that certain other dependents of the deceased namely Jeet Bahadur and Smt. Uma, son and widow of the deceased respectively are also claiming same relief and they may also be heard in the matter before passing any order on the representation of the petitioner. In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 3 to decide the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. It is further provided that while deciding the claim of the petitioner, the concerned respondent shall also give adequate opportunity of hearing to the other claimants also, if any, who may be the dependents of the deceased.
