The petitioner is in custody for more than two years and six months. I have taken into account the facts of the case and the gravity of the offence including its heinousness. Having regard to the same, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected. The prosecution is directed to take steps so that in the next six months at least seven witnesses are examined. Accordingly, CRM(M) 1643 of 2025 is dismissed.
