In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of directions to the respondents to release all his retiral benefits.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that at this stage, he will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondent No.4 to decide his legal notice dated 6.2.2025 (Annexure P-6), in a time bound manner.

Mr. Vikas Arora, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 4 and on the asking of the Court, he accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.5 also. He does not oppose the prayer, as made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4 to decide his legal notice dated 6.2.2025 (Annexure P-6), submitted by the petitioner within a period of 06 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. In case the petitioner is held entitled for the benefit, as claimed by him in the legal notice dated 6.2.2025 (Annexure P-6), the same be also released to the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of 04 weeks thereafter.
