Petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs. “10.1 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to consider the representation and to enhance awarded compensation in accordance with provision of the Agricultural land Acquisition Act with 18% interest within stipulated time, in the interest of justice. 10.2 Any other relief which may be suitable in the facts and circumstances of the case, may also be granted.” PAWAN KUMAR JHA Digitally signed by PAWAN KUMAR JHA 2 / 2 2. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that the land of petitioner was subject matter of the acquisition, however, along with the award, the Land Acquisition Officer has not awarded interest from the date of taking possession of the property and therefore he has submitted representation before Respondent no. 3/ Collector, however, it is pending consideration. Therefore, direction be issued to Respondent No. 3 to take decision on the pending representation at the earliest. 3. Learned State counsel submits that in view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for petitioner, he is having no objection. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties. 5. Taking into consideration facts and circumstances of the case, nature of grievance raised, I find it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition at this stage directing Respondent No. 3/ Collector to take decision on the representation submitted by petitioner seeking interest from the date of taking possession of his land, subject matter of the acquisition, till disbursement of the amount of compensation, in accordance with law, expeditiously preferably within a further period of 03 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.
