Petitioner’s land was acquired by National Highway and the Competent Authority Land Acquisition determined the amount payable as compensation to the petitioner. Petitioner was dissatisfied with the amount so computed by the Competent Authority Land Acquisition, therefore, he approached the Arbitrator under Section 3G(5) of National Highways Act, 1956. 6. The case is now pending before the Arbitrator/Collector, Nainital and is numbered as Arbitration Case No. 51/39 of 2018-19. Since the case could not be decided so far, therefore, petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to the Collector/Arbitrator to decide the matter at the earliest. 7. Having regard to the fact that the case is pending since 2018, therefore, the writ petition is disposed of with a 2025:UHC:4342 request to the Collector, Nainital to make endeavour to decide the aforesaid Arbitration Case, within three months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
