Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC:87453 Court No. - 4 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 7151 of 2025 Petitioner :- Abhay Kumar Yadav Respondent :- State of U.P. and Another Counsel for Petitioner :- Amarpal Singh,Prem Prakash Yadav Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Ajit Kumar,J. Heard Sri P.P. Yadav, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel. By means of present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner wants direction to the competent authority in the matter to decide the claim of the petitioner for compassionate. According to the petitioner, his father died on 28.01.2009 and his mother tried to get appointment on compassionate basis, but her application was never forwarded and certain receipts have been brought on record alongwith this petition to demonstrate that petitioner's mother has pursued the matter. In the considered view of the Court, compassionate appointment is given to provide immediate succour to bereaved family, but the family in this case has survived for more than 10 years and hence ground for compassionate appointment does not exist any more In such circumstances, therefore, now the petitioner's application cannot be
directed to be considered as petitioner has not given any justifiable reason for approaching this Court after lapse of more than a decade. In such above view of the matter, therefore, I decline to grant indulgence in the matter. Petition fails and is accordingly rejected.
